Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 6, 2026

-1. Introduction

Govuni’s Mental Health Foundation (GMHF) is committed to protecting the privacy, dignity, and safety of every individual who engages with our
peer-led mental health and addiction support services. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard information shared with us
through our website, meetings, programs, and communication channels. GMHF is a nonprofit organization under the Govuni Network
Corporation, dedicated to providing free, confidential, community-rooted support.

-2. Information We Collect

GMHF collects only the minimum information necessary to operate our programs and maintain a safe, supportive environment.

We may collect:

• Voluntarily provided contact information such as name or email when you reach out or sign up for updates

• Optional program participation information such as meeting attendance

• Non-identifying website analytics used solely to improve our services

GMHF does not require personal, medical, or diagnostic information to participate in any program.

-3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely to:

• Communicate about GMHF programs, updates, and resources

• Improve our website and community offerings

• Maintain the safety and integrity of our peer-led spaces

• Respond to inquiries or support requests

GMHF does not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

-4. Privacy and Confidentiality Protections for Members

Confidentiality is a foundational value of GMHF. Every member deserves a space where their story is honored, protected, and never used against
them.

-5 .Confidentiality in Meetings

All GMHF support spaces follow strict confidentiality expectations:

• What is shared in the group stays in the group

• No screenshots, recordings, or saving of chat logs

• No sharing of another member’s story outside the meeting, even anonymously

• No discussing who attended or what they shared

• No collecting personal details from other members unless they freely offer them

Facilitators uphold and enforce these expectations to maintain a safe, grounded environment.

-6. Member Anonymity

Members may participate using only a first name, nickname, or with their camera off. No one is required to disclose personal details, history, or
identity.

-7. No Clinical Records

GMHF is a peer-led foundation. We do not:

• Create clinical files

• Document personal disclosures

• Track mental health history

• Store sensitive or medical information

-8. Facilitator Responsibilities

Facilitators are trained to:

• Protect confidentiality at all times

• Address breaches immediately

• Maintain a supportive, non-judgmental environment

• Avoid collecting unnecessary information

• Encourage members to seek professional help when appropriate, without acting as clinicians

-9. Safety Limitations

GMHF protects confidentiality but is not a crisis-response or emergency service. If a member expresses immediate risk of harm, facilitators may
encourage them to reach out to professional or emergency support. GMHF does not intervene directly or share information with authorities.

-10. Data Storage and Security

GMHF uses secure, industry-standard methods to protect any information you choose to share. Access to data is limited to authorized GMHF
leadership for operational purposes only. We intentionally minimize data collection to reduce risk and honor participant privacy.
